About

I grew up playing with the coolest toys imaginable. Whether it was piloting the Millennium Falcon spaceship up and down the stairs or navigating the sea of our living room carpet at the helm of the GI Joe USS Flagg Aircraft Carrier, my latchkey afternoons were filled with intergalactic conflicts and fantastical special missions. I built secret bases with cardboard boxes, constructed skyscrapers and castles with Lego bricks, and amassed a loyal army of action figure soldiers. Only sleep could defeat me.

Those childhood memories are still with me today. And thanks to my mom, so are many of those same toys! This revelation initially occurred in the summer of 2013. While rummaging through the boxes in our attic, it became clear that a significant portion of my toy collection had been carefully packed and stored for the past 30 years. Action figures were nestled with their original weapons. Tiny parts of each vehicle were neatly tucked inside various compartments. Instruction booklets and manuals were stacked in a pile--some even tucked inside the original box! Shout out to all the OCD moms out there!

Needless to say, all of those wonderful memories came flooding back to me. I was suddenly 8 going on 38--and in love with toys all over again. Shortly thereafter I began what has now become the modern iteration of my vintage passion project: Half Pint Salvage.

Toys will forever hold a special place in my heart. In the past few years, my offerings have grown to include vinyl records, VHS and cassette tapes, kitchen decor, glass tumblers, analog electronics, video games, and other timeless collectibles. But as long as my vintage-loving hands can collect and curate, there will always be a choice selection of action figures and toys on the virtual shelves of Half Pint Salvage.

Your truly,
